Deepgrip (operated by Dootlabs AI Private Limited) gives every user the right to request deletion of their account and any personal data we hold about them. This page explains how to make that request and what happens after you do.
What gets deleted
When you request deletion, we permanently erase:
- Your account profile (name, email, password hash, payment-method metadata)
- All videos you uploaded, their transcripts, generated clips, embeddings, and analytics
- Chat sessions, search history, and any AI-generated content tied to your account
- OAuth tokens and connections to third-party platforms (YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Meta, etc.)
- All billing records that are not legally required to be retained for tax or compliance purposes
How to request deletion
You have two options:
Option A — Self-service from your account
- Sign in at app.deepgrip.ai
- Go to Settings → Privacy & data
- Click Delete my account
- Confirm with your password
Your account is anonymized immediately and queued for permanent erasure within 30 days.
Option B — By email
- Email privacy@deepgrip.ai from the address tied to your Deepgrip account
- Subject line:
Data deletion request - Body: include your account email and any third-party platforms you connected (so we can revoke tokens)
- We respond within 72 hours with confirmation and a ticket number. Erasure completes within 30 days of confirmation.
Third-party platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)
If you connected your Facebook Page, Instagram Business account, LinkedIn profile, YouTube channel, or other third-party social accounts to Deepgrip, deletion of your Deepgrip account also:
- Revokes our OAuth tokens for those platforms (we lose all access)
- Deletes any cached metadata about those platforms (channel names, page IDs, access scopes)
- Does not delete content you originally posted on those platforms — that lives on Meta/LinkedIn/YouTube and is governed by their respective privacy policies. To delete content there, request deletion directly with each platform
Retention exceptions
We may retain a minimum of records as required by law:
- Tax / GST / financial records: 8 years per Indian Income Tax Act & GST law. We retain anonymized invoice metadata only — no personal content
- Audit logs: 1 year for security forensics. Authored events are anonymized after deletion (referenced by user UUID, no PII)
- Backups: rolling 30-day backup window. Your data is removed from backups as the window rolls forward, completing erasure within 60 days
Verification & security
For self-service deletion, we verify identity by requiring your account password. For email requests, we reply only to the registered account email (we never accept deletion requests from third-party email addresses).
Your rights under GDPR & CCPA
EU and California residents have the right to deletion ("right to be forgotten" / "right to delete") under GDPR Article 17 and CCPA §1798.105. Requests are processed within 30 days as required by these laws. Free of charge.
